Encouraging and Mobilizing Christians to Reach the World for Jesus Christ Locally and Globally
We wants to help Christians to reach the known and unknown world for Christ and to teach them to hear from God and go where He calls them to go. Starting where they are at and then to hear whether they are to stay or go somewhere else. Our goal is not to tell the disciple of Christ what God wants for them but to teach them to hear from Him what He is saying to them and then to be obedient to God in what He is saying.
With our churches and time at Youth With A Mission (YWAM) our family has ministered throughout much of North, Central and South America, Cuba, Haiti and Asia, etc. We not only want Christians to enjoy a lifestyle of adventure and excitement at home and globally, we want them to teach others to fulfill the "Great Commission" where ever they happen to be. We want believers to work closely with their home churches and organizations to go into their communities and the world on short term missions trips. This way all their church members can have a sense of the life Christ has to offer them even at home because all Christians are missionaries, even at home. Not only do we desire to help believers go throughout the world wherever God wants them to go, we want them to be trained and ready to go. That is why we work to train the disciple in every area of missions and ministry that they will need and more.
We want local church teams to help do outreaches locally and globally and should participate in local and global outreaches each year if possible. This will help to encourage them and those around them.
What we learn, we can take to the world! When the Christian has gone on, participated in preparing and finished an outreach somewhere else in the world. With little to no help most commited Christians will have the ability to plan an outreach for their church back home. There is no greater experience than to serve God on the mission field whether at home or abroad.
